About Us
We are a physiotherapy-led service dedicated to helping people with headache and migraine through non-drug care. Our clinicians are trained in the Watson Headache® Approach. We integrate exercise, education and practical strategies that fit daily life, along with our manual therapy approach.
David Saligari
Clinical Lead
David is a physiotherapist who has focussed his practice on helping people with headache and migraine. His own experience with migraine in adolescence motivated him to work in this unique and demanding area of clinical practice. He trained at Curtin University (BSc Physiotherapy) in Perth, Western Australia and completed a Master of Manual Therapy at the University of Western Australia in 2004.
His specialist training began in 2003 with the first of several courses in the Watson Headache® Approach. Since 2016 David has been a Watson Headache® Accredited Practitioner, the first on the island of Ireland. In 2024 after a period of mentoring by the Watson Headache® Institute founder, Dr. Dean Watson, David qualified as a Clinical Facilitator. Currently, one of only eight practitioners with such training and credentials.

Patients travel from across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland to see him in Holywood, Northern Ireland. David’s calm, patient‑centred style starts by understanding your story. He then uses skilled, gentle hands-on assessment to guide evidence-informed treatment. Amongst others, a key sign is ‘Reproduction and Resolution’. Your familiar head pain appears in response to specific tests on your upper neck, then settles while gentle pressure in maintained. This helps identify a treatable neck driver. Treatment is then paired with a small number of targeted exercises and practical routines you can stick to.
David collaborates with your Neurologist, or other medical consultant, and your GP so that non‑drug care and medical care support each other. He is committed to clear communication and measurable outcomes: fewer headache days, reduced reliance on medication and more confidence to get on with life.
